Proxies for Walmart
Price, availability and delivery time on walmart.com depend on the ZIP code and the nearest store. A US proxy shows the storefront the way a shopper sees it in the state and city you need.
Why use proxies for Walmart
Walmart is one of the largest marketplaces in the US, and walmart.com is built for American shoppers. The site tailors prices, availability and delivery options to the shopper's address: the same listing can look different in Texas and in New York.
Sellers, brands and analysts use proxies for four tasks: tracking prices and stock by ZIP code and store, viewing search results and listings as a US shopper, checking ads, and signing in to Seller Center from a stable US address.
Walmart serves shoppers in the US, so use US IPs for every task on this page. Walmart Canada is a separate site with its own range - if you sell there too, check it from Canadian addresses.
Monitoring prices and stock by ZIP and store
On walmart.com, shoppers see the price and availability for their selected store and ZIP code. An item can be in stock in one city and sold out in another, and the delivered price can vary from state to state. If you track competitors or your own products sold by resellers, you need to check several locations at once.
To see the storefront for a specific location, turn on advanced mode in the generator and specify a state, city or ZIP. Keep in mind: traffic with precise geo (region, city, ZIP or carrier (ASN)) is counted double. If a country-wide view is enough for the task, simply choose the US.
Walmart remembers your selected store and delivery address in cookies and in your account. Check in a clean browser profile without signing in, otherwise the saved address will override the location of your IP. For automated collection, it helps when every request arrives as a new visitor with no history.
For regular crawling of listings, the "Rotating (new IP per request)" mode works well: port 823 (HTTP) or 824 (SOCKS5) gives a new address for every request, and the load is spread across different IPs. A plan allows up to 1000 concurrent connections, but start with a small number of threads and scale up gradually. The general principles of this kind of collection are in the price monitoring use case.
Which proxies to choose
For Walmart monitoring, people usually go with US residential proxies at $1.59 per GB. These are addresses from home internet providers, so the site looks exactly as it does to a regular shopper. Big retailers often answer datacenter addresses with a check or a CAPTCHA.
Datacenter proxies at $0.80 per GB are worth a try for small volumes and technical checks. For working in an account, residential or mobile proxies at $2.50 per GB in the "Sticky session" mode are a good fit.
Search and listings as a US shopper sees them
Through a US proxy, run Walmart searches for your keywords and look at:
- where your product ranks and which listings sit next to it;
- how the price, shipping, pickup and stock status are displayed;
- which seller wins the main buy button;
- whether photos, specs and the description display correctly.
For one-off checks like these, rotation is not necessary. The "Sticky session" mode on a port in the 10000-20000 range is more convenient: the whole check runs from one address, and the site does not reset your selected store halfway through.
Checking ads
Ad placements in Walmart search and on listings depend on the query and the shopper's location. With an IP from the right state, you can see whether your ad shows, where it ranks and where it leads. How to set up this kind of check is covered in the ad verification use case.
Do not click your own or anyone else's ads during a check: clicks cost the advertiser money. Just view the page and copy the ad link.
Seller Center: one account and a stable address
Walmart's seller policies generally allow one seller account per company. A proxy does not change that: the platform verifies the company, documents and payment details, not just the IP. Proxies are not used to run several accounts to get around bans, and we do not describe such scenarios.
A proxy for Seller Center serves a different purpose: signing in from a stable US address when you or your team work from Poland, Germany or the UK. Choose the "Sticky session" mode: the port holds one IP for 1 to 120 minutes, 30 by default. Keep the dashboard in a separate browser profile with its own port.
A sticky residential or mobile IP can change early if the device goes offline - the port then gets a new address in the same country. If you sell on several platforms at once, compare the approach with proxies for Amazon and the general principles in the marketplaces use case.
What to know in advance
- A proxy does not override Walmart's rules: the platform sets the terms for sellers, advertising and data collection.
- We do not promise that the site will accept a particular address: that access decision is the site's own.
- If the site responds with a CAPTCHA, lower your request rate rather than looking for a way around it.
- Banks and payment systems are blocked through our proxies - handle payouts and payments from your usual connection. The list is on the blocked sites page.
- Collect only public storefront data, with no personal data of shoppers.
How much traffic you need
A product listing with photos and recommendation blocks weighs several megabytes. Price monitoring does not need images: turn off their loading, and usage will drop noticeably. Traffic is counted in both directions. The traffic calculator helps you estimate the volume; the gigabytes you buy never expire, and prices are on the pricing page.

FAQ
Which proxies should I use for Walmart monitoring?
Usually US residential proxies in the "Rotating (new IP per request)" mode. Datacenter proxies are worth a try for small volumes.
How do I see the price and stock for a specific ZIP code?
Specify a state, city or ZIP in the generator's advanced mode and open the listing in a clean profile without signing in. Traffic with precise geo is counted double.
Which proxy do I need for Seller Center?
A US residential or mobile IP in the "Sticky session" mode, in a separate browser profile.
Can I run several Walmart seller accounts through a proxy?
Walmart's policies generally allow one seller account per company. A proxy does not change that: the platform checks far more than the IP.
Do you guarantee access to Walmart through a proxy?
No. The platform sets the access rules, and we have no influence over them.
