Your dashboard generates ready-made lines in the format you need: choose the country, IP type and protocol.

Key takeaways
 • Host gw.prokso.com, ports 823 (HTTP), 824 (SOCKS5), 10000–20000 (sticky sessions, HTTP or SOCKS5)
 • The username and password are in your dashboard on the plan page
 • After setup, check your IP on the My IP page

A step-by-step guide to connecting Prokso proxies in BitBrowser. It takes a few minutes.

Step 1. Get the proxy details from your dashboard

Open your plan and copy the host gw.prokso.com, port, username and password. Port 823 is HTTP and 824 is SOCKS5 (both give a new IP for every request); ports 10000–20000 keep one IP (sticky session) for up to 120 minutes and work as both HTTP and SOCKS5 (each port is a separate address). Set the country in the username: username__cr.ua.

Step 2. Create a profile

In the Browsers section click Add browser and find the proxy block in the form.

Step 3. Choose a custom proxy

Set Proxy Method to Custom Proxy (Direct Mode means a connection without a proxy). Choose the type: HTTP or SOCKS5.

Step 4. Fill in the fields

Host: gw.prokso.com, Port: a sticky port from 10000–20000, Username and Password: your plan credentials.

Step 5. Check and save

Click Check Proxy. If the proxy responds, save the profile with Confirm.

Step 6. Check the IP inside the profile

Launch the profile and open the My IP page in its window: it should show the proxy's IP address and country. Your regular browser outside the profile shows your own IP — that's expected, the proxy only works inside the profile.

How to avoid wasting traffic

An open profile spends traffic even when you are doing nothing in it: tabs refresh, extensions send requests, and video keeps loading. Close the profiles you are not working with and do not keep pages with autoplay open.

Before a mass launch, estimate the usage in the traffic calculator and keep an eye on the plan statistics for the first few days: the real figures depend on the sites.

If Check Proxy fails

 • Direct Mode is still selected. It means working without a proxy. You need Custom Proxy.
 • The type does not fit the port. 823 is HTTP, 824 is SOCKS5.
 • Host is filled in together with the port. The host and the port are separate fields.
 • The network blocks the port. Test the string in the proxy checker from another network.

FAQ

Where can I store proxies so I don't re-enter them?

Open Proxy IP in the left menu, go to the Proxy IP Management tab and add a proxy with Add Proxy, or a list with Batch Add Proxy. A saved proxy is attached to a profile with the Bind Window icon.

The check fails. What should I do?

Make sure the connection type matches the port: 823 is HTTP only, 824 is SOCKS5 only; ports 10000–20000 accept both HTTP and SOCKS5. Check that the username and password were copied without spaces and that your plan is active.

Can I change the proxy of a running profile?

Changes are applied at the next launch. Close the profile, change the proxy, and launch it again.

The check passed, but the site shows a captcha. Is it the proxy?

The captcha is shown by the site. It appears more often on datacenter addresses and when actions are too fast. Try residential or mobile addresses and a calmer pace.
