Proxies for Amazon
The price, delivery and search position of a product on Amazon depend on the buyer's country and postal code. A proxy from the right country shows the storefront the way your customer sees it.
Why an Amazon seller needs proxies
Amazon has separate storefronts for different countries: amazon.de, amazon.pl, amazon.co.uk, amazon.com. Each has its own product range, prices and delivery terms, and within a country the delivery time and cost also depend on the postal code.
Sellers and marketers need a proxy for four tasks: tracking competitors' prices and product range, viewing listings and search positions through the eyes of a local buyer, checking ads, and signing in to Seller Central from a stable address.
Monitoring prices and product range across marketplaces
If you sell in Germany, Poland and the UK, you need to check competitors' prices on each storefront separately. Regularly crawling thousands of listings from one address quickly runs into request rate limits.
The "Rotating (new IP per request)" mode suits this: port 823 (HTTP) or 824 (SOCKS5) gives a new address for every request, and the load is spread across different IPs. A plan allows up to 1000 concurrent connections, but start with a small number of threads and increase gradually.
For each storefront, choose an IP from its country: Germany for amazon.de, Poland for amazon.pl, the UK for amazon.co.uk, the US for amazon.com. Amazon often responds to datacenter addresses with a CAPTCHA, so for monitoring people usually take residential proxies ($1.59 per GB). Datacenter ones ($0.80 per GB) are worth trying for small volumes. More on price collection is in the price monitoring use case.
Prices and delivery by postal code
On Amazon the price with delivery, the delivery time and even whether an offer is available can change depending on the postal code. To see what a buyer in Munich or Manchester gets, switch on advanced mode in the generator and specify a city or ZIP.
Keep two things in mind. Traffic with precise geo (region, city, ZIP or carrier (ASN)) is counted double, so turn it on only for tasks where the postal code really affects the result. And Amazon remembers the delivery address in cookies and in the account: check in a clean browser profile without signing in, otherwise the saved address will override the one from your IP.
Listings and positions through the eyes of a local buyer
Through a proxy from the right country, run a search for your key queries and look at:
- where your product ranks in the results and which listings are next to it;
- how the price, delivery and availability label are shown;
- in what language and form the title, photos and description appear;
- which seller gets the main buy button.
For one-off checks a rotating proxy is not required: it is more convenient to use the "Sticky session" mode on a port from the 10000-20000 range, so the whole check runs from one address.
Ad verification
Ad placements in Amazon search and on listings depend on the country, the query and sometimes the region. With an IP from the right country you can see whether your ad is shown, in which position and where it leads. How such a check works is described in the ad verification use case.
Do not click your own or other people's ads during a check: clicks cost the advertiser money, and Amazon tracks such activity. It is enough to look at the page and copy the ad link to check where it leads.
Seller Central: one account and a stable address
Amazon's policy generally allows one seller account per seller. A proxy does not change that: the platform knows far more about a seller than the IP, including the company, documents and bank details. Multiple accounts to get around blocks are not created through proxies, and we do not describe such scenarios.
A proxy for Seller Central serves a different purpose: signing in from a stable address in the account's country if you or your employees work from another country. Take a residential or mobile IP ($2.50 per GB for mobile) in the "Sticky session" mode: the port holds one address for 1 to 120 minutes, 30 by default. Keep the account in a separate browser profile. A sticky residential or mobile IP can change before the time is up if the device goes offline, and the port then gets a new address in the same country.
If you work with several marketplaces, the general principles are described in the marketplaces use case.
What to know in advance
- A proxy does not override Amazon's rules: the platform sets the terms for sellers, ads and data collection.
- We do not promise that the site will accept a particular address: it makes that decision itself.
- Banks and payment systems are blocked through the proxy, so handle payouts and payments from your regular connection. The list is on the blocked sites page.
- Collect only public storefront data, without buyers' personal data.
How much traffic you need
An Amazon product listing with photos, videos and recommendation blocks weighs several megabytes. Price monitoring does not need images or videos: turn off their loading, and usage will drop several times over. Traffic is counted in both directions. The traffic calculator helps you estimate the volume; the gigabytes you buy never expire, and prices are on the pricing page.

FAQ
Which proxies should I use for price monitoring on Amazon?
Usually residential with rotation: Amazon often responds to datacenter addresses with a CAPTCHA. For each storefront, take an IP from its country.
How do I see the price with delivery for a specific postal code?
Specify a city or ZIP in the generator's advanced mode and open the listing in a clean profile without signing in. Traffic with precise geo is counted double.
Which proxy do I need for Seller Central?
A residential or mobile IP from the account's country in the "Sticky session" mode, in a separate browser profile.
Can I run several seller accounts through a proxy?
Amazon's policy generally allows one seller account. A proxy does not change that: the platform knows far more about a seller than the IP.
Do you guarantee access to Amazon through a proxy?
No. The platform sets the access rules, and we have no influence over them.
