Italy ranks #12 worldwide by the number of residential IPs in our pool.

There are 1,039 mobile addresses in Italy right now — for accounts, use a sticky-session port (10000–20000) per profile.

There are 3,937 datacenter addresses in Italy. They are cheaper ($0.80 per GB), but sites with strict checks block them more often.

How Italians shop and search online

In Italy, local platforms work alongside the global ones. Amazon.it and eBay.it compete with local shops, people look for listings on Subito.it and for housing on Immobiliare.it, and sell second-hand clothes through Vinted. Prices, delivery and some offers on these sites depend on where the visitor comes from.

From a foreign IP you often see a different storefront, different delivery terms or a redirect to another country's site. An Italian address shows a site the way a local shopper in Milan or Rome sees it. It helps you:

  • track competitor prices on Amazon.it, eBay.it and Italian online shops;
  • collect listings from Subito.it and Immobiliare.it for analytics;
  • check rankings on google.it in Italian;
  • check ads targeted at Italy in Google, Facebook and Instagram: whether they show, how they look, where they lead;
  • run TikTok and Telegram accounts for an Italian audience;
  • see how an Italian sees your own site: language, prices in euro, the cookie banner.

North, centre and south: which cities to pick

Italy differs noticeably from region to region. The north means business-minded Milan, Turin, Bologna, Genoa, Verona and Venice. The centre is Rome and Florence. The south and the islands are Naples, Bari, Palermo and Catania. Online shops often deliver to Sicily and Sardinia more slowly or at a higher price, so check the price with delivery from a city on the island.

Choosing the country costs nothing extra. A city is set in the generator's advanced mode: USERNAME__cr.it;city.milan. Write the name in Latin letters, lowercase, without spaces or hyphens. Note that many cities in the generator's list use English names, not Italian ones. So Milano is city.milan, Roma is city.rome, Napoli is city.naples, Torino is city.turin, Firenze is city.florence, Genova is city.genoa, Venezia is city.venice.

Cities by region:

  • north — Milan (city.milan), Turin (city.turin), Bologna (city.bologna), Verona (city.verona);
  • centre — Rome (city.rome), Florence (city.florence);
  • south and islands — Naples (city.naples), Bari (city.bari), Palermo (city.palermo), Catania (city.catania).

Set a city when the result depends on location: a query like "ristorante Milano", Subito.it listings near the buyer, delivery to a specific region. For general price monitoring the country is enough. If you need a specific carrier or internet provider and know its ASN, you can set that in advanced mode too.

Residential, mobile or datacenter: which for what

Residential proxies are residential IPs of Italian internet providers. Marketplaces and social networks see an ordinary user at home, so for Amazon.it, Subito.it and account work this is the main option. More on the residential proxies page; scenarios are covered in marketplaces and price monitoring.

Mobile proxies are IPs of Italian 4G/LTE carriers. People use them for multi-accounting and ad accounts where platforms pay close attention to the address. See mobile proxies, Facebook Ads, Instagram and affiliate marketing.

Datacenter (server) proxies are the cheapest: $0.80 per GB versus $1.59 for residential and $2.50 for mobile. Sites see them as hosting addresses, so they fit protected marketplaces less well, but they work well for scraping open pages and SEO checks on google.it. An Italian profile: it-IT and Europe/Rome

All of Italy, Sicily and Sardinia included, uses one time zone, Europe/Rome, with daylight saving time. Set it in your antidetect browser and set the browser language to it-IT if the profile should look local. A mismatch between IP, time zone and language is one of the first signals social networks check.

Most antidetect browsers take the time zone from the proxy automatically, but check before the first login. You can see what a site sees, including WebRTC, on the My IP page. Setup for AdsPower, Dolphin Anty, Octo Browser and others is in the guides section.

One address or a new one for every request

For accounts on Subito.it, Instagram or ad platforms, the IP should not jump around. In the generator, choose the "Sticky session" mode: ports 10000–20000, each keeping one IP for a session duration from 1 to 120 minutes, 30 by default. Do not move an account abruptly between countries: a profile created on an Italian IP is best kept in Italy.

Collecting prices from Amazon.it or listings from Immobiliare.it needs the opposite. The "Rotating (new IP per request)" mode is port 823 (HTTP) or 824 (SOCKS5), and every request goes out from a new Italian address. If you need to keep one address on these ports for about 30 minutes, add a session number to the username in advanced mode.

You can connect with a username and password or by the IP of your computer or server, up to five per plan. The protocols are HTTP(S) and SOCKS5. Traffic counts in both directions and does not expire, so you can top up the volume for scraping when you need it.

How to buy Italy proxies

To buy Italian proxy servers, create a plan, choose “Italy” in the generator and pick HTTP or SOCKS5. Residential IPs in Italy cost $1.59 per GB, mobile $2.50 and datacenter $0.80; the price is the same for every country. Pay with crypto; the traffic you buy never expires.

Good to know for any country

  • The pool is shared: another customer may have used an address before. The anonymity filter in pool settings removes IPs that sites already flag as proxy or VPN.
  • The country is free. Traffic with precise geo (region, city, ZIP or ISP) is billed ×2: 1 GB of such traffic uses 2 GB of your plan, we add nothing.
  • Availability in a specific city changes during the day. If there are no free addresses, remove the city or pick a neighbouring one.
  • In a sticky session, the IP of a home or mobile device can change before the session expires — when the device goes offline.
  • The proxies carry TCP only: messenger calls and online games don't work. Some sites are closed to all customers — see the blocked sites page.
