Your dashboard generates ready-made lines in the format you need: choose the country, IP type and protocol.

Key takeaways
  • Host gw.prokso.com, ports 823 (HTTP), 824 (SOCKS5), 10000–20000 (sticky sessions, HTTP or SOCKS5)
  • The username and password are in your dashboard on the plan page
  • After setup, check your IP on the My IP page

A step-by-step guide to connecting Prokso proxies in Nstbrowser. It takes a few minutes.

Step 1. Get the proxy details from your dashboard

Open your plan and copy the host gw.prokso.com, port, username and password. Port 823 is HTTP and 824 is SOCKS5 (both give a new IP for every request); ports 10000–20000 keep one IP (sticky session) for up to 120 minutes and work as both HTTP and SOCKS5 (each port is a separate address). Set the country in the username: username__cr.ua.

Step 2. Open the Proxy tab

Click Create profile and go to the Proxy tab. Choose Custom among the options.

Step 3. Paste the proxy line

Paste a line in host:port:username:password format into Proxy URL, e.g. gw.prokso.com:10001:username:password, and choose the HTTP protocol. For SOCKS5 the line starts with socks5://: socks5://gw.prokso.com:10001:username:password. Nstbrowser splits the line into fields itself.

Step 4. Check the proxy

Click Check Proxy and wait for the result.

Step 5. Create the profile

Click Create profile at the bottom of the form and launch the profile.

Step 6. Check the IP inside the profile

Launch the profile and open the My IP page in its window: it should show the proxy's IP address and country. Your regular browser outside the profile shows your own IP — that's expected, the proxy only works inside the profile.

What form to paste the string in

The Proxy URL field accepts the whole string, so the format matters. The most reliable option is the one with the protocol at the start: Nstbrowser uses it to detect the type on its own. If there is no protocol, check that the type selected in the list is the same as in the generator.

Special characters in the password are a common cause of errors: in the format with @ they break the parsing of the address. Use the host:port:username:password format or convert the string in the proxy format converter.

If Check Proxy fails

  • The protocol in the string does not fit the port. socks5:// with port 823 will not work: 823 is HTTP only.
  • There is an extra space or line break in the string. This happens when you copy from a spreadsheet.
  • Something other than Custom is selected. The other options do not use your plan.
  • There is no traffic on the plan. Check the remaining traffic in your dashboard.

FAQ

What are proxy groups in Nstbrowser for?

On the <b>Proxies</b> page you can store proxies and put them into groups. If a profile uses <b>Saved Proxy Group</b>, a random proxy from the group is taken at every launch — for accounts that need one steady address, pick a specific saved proxy instead.

The check fails. What should I do?

Make sure the connection type matches the port: 823 is HTTP only, 824 is SOCKS5 only; ports 10000–20000 accept both HTTP and SOCKS5. Check that the username and password were copied without spaces and that your plan is active.

Does the proxy work when a profile is launched through the API?

Yes. The proxy is stored in the profile, and the way it is launched does not affect it.

Can I use rotation on every request?

You can, and that is exactly what ports 823 and 824 are for. For a profile with an account it is a poor choice: use them for data collection.
