What a static proxy is

A static proxy is a single IP address that you rent for a set term. It does not change between requests or sessions: a website sees you coming from the same place every time. These are also called ISP proxies.

That matters when consistency matters: an account used to one address, a working dashboard on an ad or trading platform, a service that only lets in approved addresses.

How it works

  1. Choose a country, the number of addresses and a term in your dashboard.
  2. Pay from your balance. You top it up the same way as for other proxies.
  3. Usually within 10–15 minutes the addresses appear under Static proxies: IP, ports, username and password.
  4. We send a reminder before the term ends. Renew, and the address stays yours.

Terms

  • Once addresses are issued, refunds are not possible: the address is already reserved for you for the whole term.
  • If a proxy does not work within 24 hours, we replace it or refund you.
  • After the term ends the address is released and the same one may no longer be available.
  • There are no automatic charges: renewal happens only when you choose it.

What static proxies are used for

A static address is for places where a website remembers where you come from and is wary of change. Most often that is work done from the same account for weeks and months.

  • Social media accounts. One account, one address. The profile signs in from the same place every day, like an ordinary user on home internet. See the multi-accounting use case.
  • Ad accounts. The account, billing details and sign-in history stay tied to one address, so an IP change in the middle of a campaign does not trigger extra checks. See also proxies for Facebook ads.
  • Marketplace seller accounts. The store is opened from a constant address no matter who on the team is working or from where. More in the marketplaces use case.
  • Services with an IP allowlist. If a control panel, a partner API or a corporate resource only lets in approved IPs, you add the static address to that list once.
  • Long sessions. Work that an address change must not interrupt: a long download, a session in a personal dashboard, testing as a single user.

For data collection and checking results from many places, a static address is the wrong tool: that takes thousands of different IPs. For that, use residential and mobile proxies billed per GB.

Static proxy or sticky session

Pay-per-GB plans can also hold one address: a sticky session keeps the same IP for up to 120 minutes. That is enough to complete a sign-up, place an order or collect data from several pages in a row. How it works is described on the rotating proxies page.

The difference is the term and whose address it is. When a session ends, the address goes back to the shared pool and next time you get another one. A static address is assigned to you for a week or a month: tomorrow and two weeks from now the website sees the same IP.

Static (ISP) or residential proxies

Both types give you an address that looks to a website like an ordinary connection through an internet provider. The difference is how many addresses you get and how long they are yours.

Static means one address just for you for a week or a month. The website sees the same IP every day, traffic is not counted, and you pay for the address and the term. Residential means a shared pool of addresses in 195 countries: the address changes on every request or holds for up to 120 minutes, and you pay per gigabyte.

A simple rule: if an account has to sign in from the same place every day, take a static address. If you need many different addresses or a specific city, take residential. They are often combined: static addresses for working accounts, residential for data collection and checking search results. More about the second type is on the residential proxies page.

How to choose the country, quantity and term

Country. Take the one where the account "lives": the country where the profile, ad account or store is registered. The list of countries above changes with availability, and before payment we check once more that the chosen country is available.

Quantity. Count by the rule "one account, one address". One order can hold up to 100 addresses; the more addresses, the lower the price for each. The tiers are in the price table at the top of the page.

Term. A week is handy for checking whether the address suits your task. A month costs less per day and suits ongoing work. You can renew as many times as you like.

Renewal and reminders

There are no automatic charges, so an address is never renewed without your action. So that you do not lose it by oversight, we remind you ahead of time: three days and one day before the end for monthly addresses, one day before for weekly ones. Reminders arrive by email and show in the dashboard.

In the "Static proxies" section you can select several addresses and renew them together: the dashboard shows the amount to be charged. If the balance is short, the top-up page opens, and after payment the renewal completes on its own. Until the term ends, the address stays the same.

How to connect a static proxy

Once issued, the dashboard shows the IP address, the HTTP(S) port, the SOCKS5 port, the username and the password. You can copy the line in the format you need or export all addresses as one .txt file. Each address can carry a note, for example the name of the account it is used for.

  1. Copy the proxy line in the dashboard.
  2. Paste it into your software: an antidetect browser, a regular browser, a phone or your own script. Step-by-step examples are in the guides, including AdsPower setup.
  3. Check the result: open My IP through the proxy or paste the line into the proxy checker. It shows the country and whether the address responds.

Good to know before you order

  • The address is assigned to you, so everything done from it is tied to your account. What is allowed and what is not is set out in the Acceptable Use Policy.
  • We do not promise that a particular website will accept the address: third-party rules are outside our control. That is why it is convenient to start with one address for a week.
  • Refund terms for static proxies differ from pay-per-GB plans. They are described on the refund policy page.
  • Prices for all proxy types are on the pricing page.

FAQ

How is a static proxy different from a residential one?

Residential proxies on Prokso are billed per traffic and the address changes. A static proxy is one address for the whole term with unlimited traffic.

How long does delivery take?

Usually 10–15 minutes after payment. We hand over an address only after checking that it responds with your username and password.

Can I renew the same address?

Yes, as long as the term has not ended. Renewal is paid from your balance in the dashboard and the address stays the same.

Is there a traffic limit?

No, traffic on static proxies is unlimited.

Which protocols are supported?

HTTP(S) and SOCKS5. Each order gets its own username and password.

How many addresses can I order at once?

From 1 to 100 in one order. If you need more, place several orders: the addresses appear in one list.

Can I change the country of an issued address?

No, the country is fixed for the address. To work from another country, order a new address; the old one stays active until its term ends.

What happens if I do not renew in time?

When the term ends, the address is released. Getting the same one again may not be possible, so renew in advance. We remind you by email and in the dashboard.

Can I use one static address for several accounts?

Technically yes, but the website will see the accounts signing in from one address. If they must not be linked to each other, take a separate address for each.

How is a static proxy different from a sticky session?

A sticky session on pay-per-GB plans holds one address for up to 120 minutes, after which it returns to the shared pool. A static proxy is assigned only to you for a week or a month.

Which is better for accounts: static or residential?

For an account that has to sign in from the same place every day, a static address is more convenient: tomorrow and a month from now it is the same. Residential proxies with a sticky session hold an address for up to 120 minutes, which is enough for separate sessions, but next time the address will be different.

How do I pay for static proxies?

From the balance in your dashboard. The balance is topped up with crypto, the same way as for pay-per-GB plans.

A fixed IP address: $4.90 per month

Paid from your balance, delivered in 10–15 minutes, no automatic charges.
