A step-by-step guide to connecting Prokso proxies in Super Proxy. It takes a few minutes.
Step 1. Get the proxy details from your dashboard
Open your plan and copy the host gw.prokso.com, port, username and password. Port 823 is HTTP and 824 is SOCKS5 (both give a new IP for every request); ports 10000–20000 keep one IP (sticky session) for up to 120 minutes and work as both HTTP and SOCKS5 (each port is a separate address). Set the country in the username: username__cr.ua.
Step 2. Install Super Proxy
Install Super Proxy by SCHELER Software from Google Play. The app is free and has no ads, and it needs no root access: it works through Android's built-in VPN mechanism.
Step 3. Add a proxy
Open the app and tap Add Proxy. The new server form opens.
Step 4. Set the protocol, server and port
Protocol: HTTP or SOCKS5. In Server enter gw.prokso.com, in Port enter 823 for HTTP or 824 for SOCKS5 with a new IP on every request, or a sticky port from 10000-20000, where the IP holds for up to 120 minutes. If you sign in to accounts in apps, use a sticky port so the address doesn't change mid-session.
Step 5. Enter the username and password
Fill in Username and Password from your dashboard. If the plan uses the IP whitelist, leave these fields empty. Tap Save in the top-right corner.
Step 6. Start the proxy
Tap Start. Android asks for permission to set up a VPN connection: confirm it. A key icon appears in the status bar, and the phone's traffic now goes through the proxy.
Step 7. Check the address
With Super Proxy still on, open the My IP page in the phone's browser. It should show the proxy IP address and country. If you see your own address, check that the connection in Super Proxy is really on.
FAQ
How do I stop the phone from going online without the proxy?
In Android settings open the VPN section, tap the gear next to Super Proxy and turn on Always-on VPN and Block connections without VPN. If the proxy stops, apps won't go online directly.
Why don't messenger calls work?
The proxies don't carry UDP, and voice and video calls and online games rely on it. Messages, websites and apps use TCP and do go through the proxy.
The proxy won't connect. What should I check?
Check the server
gw.prokso.com
without spaces, the port and the protocol: HTTP on 823, SOCKS5 on 824, either one on ports 10000-20000. A 407 error means a wrong username or password, or the plan has run out of traffic: check the balance on the plan page in your dashboard.
