What paying for traffic means
On pay-per-GB plans you don't buy addresses or a month of access. You buy gigabytes. A fixed address for a term is a separate product, static proxies. Every request through the proxy uses a bit of data, and that amount is deducted from your plan. We count both directions: what you send and what you download.
The main rule is simple: the traffic you buy never expires. There's no validity period, no subscription and no automatic charges. Buy 10 GB in March, use half, and spend the rest in the fall. That works too.
The price per gigabyte depends on the proxy type: datacenter $0.80, residential $1.59, mobile $2.50. The price per GB is the same for any volume: no bundles, no subscription, you pay only for the gigabytes you need. The calculator above shows what your own volume will cost.
How it differs from paying per IP, per port or by subscription
Proxy providers charge in several ways. Each model has its own logic, and that logic decides how much you pay for capacity you never use.
| Model | What you pay for | What happens to unused balance |
|---|---|---|
| Per IP | A single address for a set period | The period runs out even if the address sat idle |
| Per port | A connection endpoint for a month | Unused days are gone |
| Subscription with a data cap | A month of access with a GB limit | Leftover data usually resets at the end of the cycle |
| Pay per GB at Prokso | Only the gigabytes that go through the proxy | Stays on your plan with no expiration date |
Paying per address makes sense when you need one IP running constantly and heavily: for that we have static proxies. Most work is uneven, though: a busy week, then a quiet stretch. With gigabytes, the quiet stretch costs nothing, and thousands of addresses are available from a single plan.
What you get right after payment
Your access details show up in the dashboard automatically as soon as the payment is confirmed. Each plan has a username, a password and the host gw.prokso.com. Port 823 is HTTP and port 824 is SOCKS5, both with a new address on every request. Ports 10000 through 20000 each keep one IP (sticky session) for 1 to 120 minutes, so a single host gives you thousands of addresses.
The generator in the dashboard builds ready-to-use lines. Pick a country, protocol and format, such as user:pass@host:port or host:port:user:pass, then copy the list or download it as a .txt file. If credentials get in the way, add up to 5 of your own IP addresses to the IP whitelist and connect without a password.
A plan is a separate access point with its own balance. Set up one per project or client and track usage separately. You can put a traffic limit on a plan per hour, day or week, and choose whether it stops the plan or just warns you. Low-balance alerts go to your email or Telegram. Each plan supports up to 1,000 concurrent connections.
Every payment comes with a PDF receipt you can pass to your accountant or client. You can protect your account with two-factor authentication and review active sessions.
Picking geo, protocol and proxy type
Addresses are available in 195 countries, and picking a country costs nothing extra. In advanced mode you can narrow it down to a region or state, city, ZIP code or a specific carrier (ASN), target several countries at once or exclude some. Keep in mind that precise-geo traffic is charged ×2. So turn on city or carrier targeting only when the task really needs it.
The proxies support HTTP(S) and SOCKS5, so they work in antidetect browsers, regular browsers, phones and scripts. Step-by-step guides cover AdsPower, Dolphin Anty, Octo Browser, GoLogin, Python, Puppeteer and more. Use the Proxy Checker and my IP page to check your lines, and the Proxy Format Converter to convert a list to another format.
Residential proxies are residential IPs from internet providers and fit data collection, market research, SEO, price monitoring, ad verification and social media account work. Mobile proxies are 4G/LTE carrier addresses, used for social media, mobile ad verification and app testing, as well as for signing up and warming up accounts. Datacenter proxies are the cheapest and fastest option, built for fast scraping, rank monitoring, automation and testing where the site doesn't care where the IP comes from.
You choose the mode in the generator. If you need a new address on every request, see rotating proxies. If your software connects over SOCKS5, everything about that protocol is on the SOCKS5 proxies page.
Who uses Prokso
Developers and data teams collect public information from websites with scripts and ready-made scrapers: catalogs, prices, listings, and texts for analytics and AI model training. Rotation spreads requests across thousands of addresses, and datacenter proxies give you speed at the lowest price. See proxies for web scraping for details.
Marketers and analysts research markets and keep an eye on competitors: prices, product ranges and promotions of online stores in different countries, reviews and brand mentions, counterfeits and breaches of recommended prices. SEO specialists check rankings and search results in the region or city they need. That's covered in price monitoring and proxies for SEO.
Ad and product teams verify how ads appear in different countries and where they lead. QA testers check how a website or app works in another region: language, currency, prices and content availability. For mobile ads and apps, mobile proxies are the right fit.
Social media managers and agencies run dozens of client accounts on Instagram, TikTok and Telegram through antidetect browsers. Each profile gets its own address, and each client gets a separate plan. See proxies for Instagram, TikTok and Telegram for details.
Media buyers and affiliate marketers work in Facebook ad accounts and open offers from the target country. That's covered in proxies for affiliate marketing and proxies for Facebook Ads.
Marketplace sellers check search results, product listings and prices the way a shopper in another city or country sees them: proxies for marketplaces. You can open a separate plan for each line of work and see traffic usage per project.
The honest fine print
The address pool is shared. An IP you get may have been used by another customer before, and we don't sell addresses reserved for one person. To skip addresses that sites have already flagged, the pool settings include an anonymity filter that drops IPs marked as proxy or VPN.
We don't promise that an account will never get banned. Bans depend on account behavior, browser setup and the site's own rules, not only on the IP. A sticky residential or mobile address can also change early if the device goes offline; the port then gets a new IP in the same country.
UDP isn't supported, so messenger calls and online games won't work through the proxy. Mail ports are closed. Some sites are blocked for every customer, including government resources, banks and payment systems; the list is on the blocked sites page.
If the proxies don't work out for you, you can get a refund within 72 hours of payment as long as you've used no more than 10% of the traffic. What you can and can't do through the proxies is spelled out in the acceptable use policy.
Choosing a proxy provider: what to check before you buy
You can buy a proxy server here in a few minutes: sign up, pick a proxy type and the number of gigabytes, pay with crypto (USDT, BTC, ETH, LTC, TON), and the connection strings are in your dashboard. When you compare proxy providers, check three things: how traffic is counted, whether unused traffic expires, and whether changing the country costs extra. With Prokso the gigabytes you buy have no expiry date, and you choose the country in the generator.
The most requested locations are USA proxies, the UK, Germany, Poland and Ukraine; the full list, including every country in Europe, is on the proxies by country page. Not sure which type you need? Start with the comparison above: residential, mobile and datacenter proxies share one dashboard, so trying another type takes no new sign-up.
FAQ
How do I buy proxies?
Sign up, create a plan, choose the proxy type and the number of gigabytes, then pay with crypto. The username, password and connection lines appear in your dashboard right after payment.
Which proxy type should I choose?
Residential — for data collection, market research, SEO, price monitoring, ad verification and social media account work. Mobile — for social media, mobile ad verification and app testing, as well as registering and warming up accounts where maximum trust matters. Datacenter — for fast scraping, rank monitoring and bulk automation where speed and price matter. More on the residential, mobile and datacenter pages.
Does unused traffic expire?
No. Purchased gigabytes stay on the plan until you use them.
Why do all lines have the same host and username? Did I get just one IP?
No. The host is the entrance to a large pool of addresses. The IP depends on the port and the username parameters: on port 823 every request comes from a new address, and each port from 10000 to 20000 keeps its own IP. So lines with different ports are different IPs.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Cryptocurrency: USDT (TRC20, ERC20 and other networks), BTC, ETH, LTC, TON and 300+ other coins.
Why did I use more traffic than I expected?
Traffic is counted in both directions: what you send and what you download, including images and video on the pages you open. Also, with precise geo-targeting (city, region, ZIP or carrier), gigabytes are deducted twice as fast. That's how the network counts it; we don't add anything on top. Choosing just a country costs nothing extra.
Can I move traffic from one plan to another?
Yes, between plans of the same type, in whole gigabytes. For example, you can move the leftover balance of a residential plan to another residential plan for a new project. Transfers between types, say from datacenter to mobile, aren't available.
How many apps or concurrent connections can run on one plan?
Up to 1,000 concurrent connections per plan. If you need more or want to split the work, create several plans; there's no limit on how many. For setup in a specific app, see the guides.
Do you have proxies in Europe?
Yes. Residential, mobile and datacenter IPs are available across European countries, including the UK, Germany, France, Poland, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. Pick the country in the generator; the list with IPs online is on the proxies by country page.
Can I buy proxies with crypto?
Yes. We accept USDT, BTC, ETH, LTC, TON and other coins; you choose the network on the payment page. Access appears in your dashboard as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Do you have static proxies?
Yes. A static proxy is a permanent IP address that is yours alone for a week or a month. You pay per address and term, not per gigabyte. Details are on the static proxies page.
Residential $1.59, mobile $2.50, datacenter $0.80 per GB
