France ranks #8 worldwide by the number of residential IPs in our pool.

There are 461 mobile addresses in France right now — for accounts, use a sticky-session port (10000–20000) per profile.

There are 11,738 datacenter addresses in France. They are cheaper ($0.80 per GB), but sites with strict checks block them more often.

What a shopper in France sees

French shoppers do not start on the same sites as Poles or Germans. They look for classifieds and second-hand goods on Leboncoin, compare electronics on Cdiscount, Fnac and Darty, and resell clothes through Vinted. Amazon.fr works as a separate store with its own euro prices and local delivery. To see these storefronts the way a person in Paris or Lyon sees them, you need a French IP address.

From a foreign IP the picture is different. A site may open the version for another country, show other delivery terms or hide some offers. For price monitoring and assortment analysis on marketplaces, that difference makes the data useless.

Search is local too. Google.fr shows a user in France different results than a user in Belgium or Switzerland, even though the language is the same. If you are promoting a site in the French market, check rankings from French IPs, and for some queries from a specific city.

Google and Facebook ads are often targeted at France or at a single region. Without a local address you cannot see which ads actually reach the audience. Instagram, TikTok or Telegram accounts with a French audience are also better run from French IPs: social networks notice when an account suddenly logs in from another country.

Your site through a French visitor's eyes

A French address is not only for other people's sites. If you sell to France, open your own site the way a local visitor opens it. Check whether French switches on, whether the visitor gets pushed to the English version, and whether the language switcher works.

Next come prices. A visitor from France should see amounts in euro in the local format: a comma instead of a decimal point and the € sign after the number. Also look at the delivery terms, taxes in the price and the payment methods the site shows for France.

Check the cookie banner separately. The French regulator CNIL watches cookie consent closely, and refusing must be as easy as accepting. Open the site from a French IP in a clean profile and see which banner appears and whether ad scripts load before consent.

Ads are checked the same way. If you launched a campaign for France, open the search results and partner sites from a French address and make sure the ad shows, has the right language and leads to the right page.

Residential, mobile or datacenter for French tasks

  • Residential — residential IPs from French internet providers. They fit Leboncoin, Cdiscount and Amazon.fr, checking your own site and Facebook ads. $1.59 per GB, more on residential proxies.
  • Mobile — IPs from 4G/LTE mobile networks. Many subscribers share each address, so it looks ordinary to social networks. Use them for Instagram, TikTok and Telegram. $2.50 per GB, see mobile proxies.
  • Datacenter (server) — datacenter IPs. The cheapest option for scraping public catalogs and rank tracking on google.fr. $0.80 per GB, details on datacenter proxies.

Traffic is bought in gigabytes, with no subscription, and it does not expire. So you can buy a small amount of two types and compare which one works better on your target site. For affiliate marketing campaigns in France, people usually start with residential.

Paris, Lyon, Marseille: when you need a city

Picking the country in the generator costs nothing extra, and for most tasks that is enough. A city matters when the result depends on it: Leboncoin listings near the buyer, local results for a query like "boulangerie Lyon", delivery and stock in a particular store. Switch on advanced mode and set the city: USERNAME__cr.fr;city.paris.

Write the name in Latin letters, lowercase, without spaces, hyphens or accents: city.lyon, city.marseille, city.toulouse. Simplify names with accents and hyphens: Saint-Étienne becomes city.saintetienne, Nîmes becomes city.nimes.

In the generator's city list, Paris appears not only as a whole city but also as separate arrondissements. For example, city.paris15vaugirard is the Vaugirard arrondissement. It helps when delivery or search results for a specific part of the capital matter. If the district does not matter, just use city.paris.

For the regions, try Nice (city.nice) and Montpellier (city.montpellier) in the south, Bordeaux (city.bordeaux) and Nantes (city.nantes) in the west, Lille (city.lille) in the north and Strasbourg (city.strasbourg) in the east.

Orange, SFR, Bouygues and Free: carrier by ASN

France has four large networks, and all of them offer both home internet and mobile service. In advanced mode you can set the carrier by its ASN: Orange is 3215, SFR is 15557, Bouygues Telecom is 5410, Free is 12322. Example line: USERNAME__cr.fr;asn.3215 gives you Orange addresses.

Free is known for its Freebox home internet boxes, but it also runs its own mobile network, Free Mobile. So for Free, as for the other three, first choose the proxy type, residential or mobile, and only then the carrier.

Choosing a carrier is useful when an account has long worked through one network, or when you need to see how a site or an ad treats subscribers of a specific provider. If the carrier does not matter, leave it out: the country or city is enough. The set of available carriers can change.

A profile for France: Europe/Paris and fr-FR

Mainland France has a single time zone, Europe/Paris, with summer time. In your antidetect browser, select the zone name rather than a fixed offset. Set the browser language to fr-FR: a profile with a French IP and an English interface looks less natural to local services.

Most antidetect browsers take the time zone and geolocation from the proxy automatically, but check before the first login. Guides are available for AdsPower, Dolphin Anty, GoLogin and other tools in the guides section. Check the IP, country and WebRTC on the My IP page.

Do not jump an account between countries. If a profile has been working from Paris, do not open it the next day from Belgium or Ukraine. For accounts, choose the "Sticky session" mode in the generator: a sticky session on ports 10000–20000 with a session duration from 1 to 120 minutes. Keep the "Rotating (new IP per request)" mode (ports 823 and 824) for scraping Cdiscount or google.fr.

How to buy France proxies

To buy French proxy servers, create a plan, choose “France” in the generator and pick HTTP or SOCKS5. Residential IPs in France cost $1.59 per GB, mobile $2.50 and datacenter $0.80; the price is the same for every country. Pay with crypto; the traffic you buy never expires.

Good to know for any country

  • The pool is shared: another customer may have used an address before. The anonymity filter in pool settings removes IPs that sites already flag as proxy or VPN.
  • The country is free. Traffic with precise geo (region, city, ZIP or ISP) is billed ×2: 1 GB of such traffic uses 2 GB of your plan, we add nothing.
  • Availability in a specific city changes during the day. If there are no free addresses, remove the city or pick a neighbouring one.
  • In a sticky session, the IP of a home or mobile device can change before the session expires — when the device goes offline.
  • The proxies carry TCP only: messenger calls and online games don't work. Some sites are closed to all customers — see the blocked sites page.
