Key takeaways
  • Host gw.prokso.com, ports 823 (HTTP), 824 (SOCKS5), 10000–20000 (sticky sessions, HTTP or SOCKS5)
  • The username and password are in your dashboard on the plan page
  • After setup, check your IP on the My IP page

A step-by-step guide to connecting Prokso proxies in RoxyBrowser. It takes a few minutes.

Step 1. Get the proxy details from your dashboard

Open your plan and copy the host gw.prokso.com, port, username and password. Port 823 is HTTP and 824 is SOCKS5 (both give a new IP for every request); ports 10000–20000 keep one IP (sticky session) for up to 120 minutes and work as both HTTP and SOCKS5 (each port is a separate address). Set the country in the username: username__cr.ua.

Step 2. Add a proxy

In the proxy section create a new one: type IPv4, protocol HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5. Host: gw.prokso.com, port: a sticky one 10000-20000, username and password: from the dashboard.

Step 3. Or paste the whole line

The Intelligent Recognition feature parses a host:port:username:password line by itself. Choose this format in the dashboard generator and copy the line.

Step 4. Test the proxy

In the IP Detection block choose a checking service and click Test Proxy: RoxyBrowser shows the address and country.

Step 5. Match the profile to the IP

In the profile settings keep Auto-match based on IP - the language, time zone and geolocation will match the address's country.

Step 6. If the proxy doesn't connect

Check three things: the host gw.prokso.com without extra spaces, a port from 10000-20000, and the type - HTTP or SOCKS5, as selected in the program. A 407 error means a wrong username or password, or the plan has run out of traffic: check the balance on the plan page in the dashboard. A timeout usually means the port was entered with a typo or the program expects a different protocol. And if the address works but the site asks for extra confirmations, check that the profile's time zone and language match the IP country and that the same port is not set in several profiles at once.

Step 7. Check that it works

Open the My IP page: it should show the proxy's IP address and country, not yours. If the connection fails, double-check the port and protocol, and look up error codes on the Error codes page.

FAQ

How do I add a list of proxies?

In the bulk add window paste the lines one per row, click Parse, then Test All, delete the lines that failed the check and save. A hint on the line format is next to the field.

What happens if I change a proxy linked to several profiles?

The address changes for every profile this proxy is linked to. So it's better to create a separate proxy with its own port for each account.

How many profiles should go on one proxy?

RoxyBrowser's help advises no more than five profiles per static IP. We advise one profile per port: the 10000-20000 range has enough ports, and accounts aren't linked by a shared address.
