WebRTC leak test

Open this page in the browser or profile where the proxy is set. If WebRTC shows a different address, websites can see your real IP.

What a WebRTC leak is

WebRTC is a browser technology for video and audio calls. To connect two people directly, the browser finds out its own external address with a separate request. That request can bypass the proxy, and then the website receives your real IP address even though you opened the page through a proxy.

How to read the result

  • No leak — the WebRTC address matches the address the website sees, or WebRTC is switched off.
  • Leak found — WebRTC shows a different address. Most often it is your internet provider's address.
  • Time zone mismatch — not a leak, but websites notice when the IP is from one country and the browser clock from another.

How to stop the leak

  • Antidetect browser. In the profile settings set WebRTC to replace the address or to disabled — then WebRTC shows the proxy address.
  • Firefox. Open about:config and set media.peerconnection.enabled to false.
  • Chrome, Edge, Opera. There is no built-in switch: you need an extension that limits WebRTC, or a separate profile in an antidetect browser.
  • Phone. Mobile browsers usually cannot turn WebRTC off — use an app that routes all traffic through the proxy.

When it matters

If you run several accounts or check ads and search results from another country, one real address shared by every profile undoes the work of the proxy. Test each new profile before logging in: open this page, make sure there is no leak, and only then start working. For the full picture — IP, country, language and screen — see What is my IP, and test the connection line itself with the proxy checker.

FAQ

Does a proxy hide my IP from WebRTC?

Not always. An HTTP proxy in the browser does not carry WebRTC, so the request can go out directly. Antidetect browsers and extensions close that gap.

Why does the test say WebRTC is off?

The browser or an extension is blocking WebRTC. There is no leak in that case, but in-browser video calls may not work.

Do you store my address?

No. The test runs in your browser and the result is not recorded anywhere.
