Rotating proxies

A new IP for every request or one address per session — both modes on the same plan. You pay only for gigabytes, with no limit on the number of IPs.

How rotation works

You connect to one host, gw.prokso.com, and it hands out an address from a large pool every time. What you get depends on the port:

  • Port 823 (HTTP) and 824 (SOCKS5) — a new IP for every request. The site sees thousands of different visitors instead of one.
  • Ports 10000 to 20000 — each port keeps its own IP. You choose how long in advanced mode on the plan page: 1 to 120 minutes, 30 by default.
  • A session number in the username — in the generator's advanced mode: one IP for about 30 minutes even on ports 823 and 824.

There's nothing to switch in the dashboard. Different apps can use different ports of the same plan at the same time.

When to rotate and when to keep one IP

Rotation on every request suits tasks where the number of different addresses matters: scraping, price monitoring, Google rank tracking, collecting listings, market research, and gathering public data for analytics and AI. Each request comes from a new IP, so it's hard for the site to tell they all come from one person.

A sticky session is what you need wherever there's a login: social media, ad accounts, marketplaces, email. If the address changes mid-session, the site may ask for verification or block the login. Give each account its own port and each one keeps a stable address.

A sticky IP also helps without any login: when you need to go through several pages of a site from one address, for example to check the cart and checkout in another country or to test a localized version of a website.

Often you need both at once: an account runs through a sticky port while a scraper next to it uses port 823.

Country, city and carrier

Rotation works together with geo-targeting. Pick a country in the generator and new addresses come only from it. Advanced mode lets you narrow down to region, city, ZIP code or carrier (ASN), or pick several countries at once. Traffic with precise geo is billed double by the network, so choose a city only where you really need it.

Pricing

TypePrice per GBBest for
Residential$1.59scraping, market research, SEO
Mobile$2.50social media, ads, app testing
Datacenter$0.80fast scraping and bulk automation

Rotation is included: you pay only for the gigabytes that pass through the proxy. The number of IPs and IP changes is unlimited; there are 10,001 fixed ports per plan (10000–20000). Purchased traffic never expires.

How to connect

  1. Create a plan and choose the proxy type.
  2. In the generator on the plan page, pick a country and a mode: “Rotating (new IP per request)” or “Sticky session”.
  3. Copy the lines into your software. Popular apps have step-by-step guides.
# new IP for every request
curl -x http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@gw.prokso.com:823 https://api.ipify.org

# one IP on port 10001
curl -x http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@gw.prokso.com:10001 https://api.ipify.org

How many concurrent connections you can run

Up to 1,000 concurrent connections per plan. For a heavier load, split tasks across several plans — you can move traffic between them.

Cheap rotating proxies, also known as backconnect proxies

Rotating proxies are sometimes called backconnect proxies: you connect to one gateway and the service hands out a different exit IP behind it. Rotation is not a separate product here — it is included in every plan, so the price is the plan price: datacenter $0.80, residential $1.59, mobile $2.50 per GB. The cheapest rotating proxies are datacenter ones, used for scraping and bulk requests. You can buy rotating proxies with crypto, and unused traffic never expires.

FAQ

How often does the IP change on port 823?

On every new request. If your software keeps one connection open, the address won't change until that connection closes.

How do I change the IP in a sticky session manually?

Use another port from 10000–20000 or change the session number in the username. There's no limit on how often.

Can I choose how long an IP is kept?

Yes, from 1 to 120 minutes: on the plan page in advanced mode, under “Pool settings”, field “Session duration, minutes”. The default is 30 minutes.

Can the IP change before the session expires?

Yes. Residential and mobile addresses are real devices, and when a device goes offline the port gets a new address from the same country.

Is rotation available for all proxy types?

Yes: residential, mobile and datacenter. Ports and line formats are the same.

Does rotation cost extra?

No. You pay only for traffic. Only traffic with precise geo — city, region, ZIP or carrier — is billed double.

Is a backconnect proxy the same as a rotating proxy?

In practice, yes. A backconnect proxy service gives you one gateway address and rotates the exit IPs behind it. That is how port 823 works here: every new request leaves from a different IP.

Can I buy rotating proxies with crypto?

Yes. We accept USDT, BTC, ETH, LTC, TON and other coins. Access appears in your dashboard as soon as the payment is confirmed.
