Canada ranks #9 worldwide by the number of residential IPs in our pool.

There are 267 mobile addresses in Canada right now — for accounts, use a sticky-session port (10000–20000) per profile.

There are 15,035 datacenter addresses in Canada. They are cheaper ($0.80 per GB), but sites with strict checks block them more often.

Why Canada needs its own address, not a US one

Canada is often seen as "the same North America", but for websites it is a separate country. Amazon.ca, Walmart.ca, Canadian Tire, Best Buy Canada and the Kijiji classifieds board show prices in Canadian dollars, with their own delivery and product range. From a US IP you will see the American version, not what a shopper in Toronto or Vancouver sees.

Many Canadian sites run on .ca domains, and large international stores send visitors to the Canadian version based on their IP. Results on google.ca also differ from google.com: local stores, prices in CAD and Canadian reviews rank higher. For rank checks on the Canadian market you need a Canadian address.

Sales tax in Canada depends on the province. Some provinces only have the federal GST, some use the combined HST, and others add a provincial PST on top. So the cart total can differ between Ontario and Alberta. Campaigns in Google and Facebook are also often targeted at a single province, so it is better to check them from an IP in that province.

Quebec and two languages: en-CA and fr-CA

In Quebec the main language is French. Provincial law requires commercial information to be available in French, so many stores, services and ad campaigns have separate French versions. An address in Montreal gives a very different picture from one in Toronto.

Set the browser language to en-CA for English-speaking cities and to fr-CA for Montreal and other cities in Quebec. A profile with a Montreal IP and an en-US language looks less natural than one with fr-CA. If you run accounts or ads for a French-speaking audience, keep separate profiles with Quebec addresses for them.

The same goes for social media. Instagram, TikTok or Telegram accounts registered in Canada are best opened from a Canadian address going forward. Social networks notice when the login country suddenly changes.

Cities and time zones from St. John's to Vancouver

Choosing the country in the generator costs nothing extra. Setting a city makes sense when the result depends on it: local search results, delivery, stock in a store, or ads aimed at a specific city. Switch on advanced mode and set the city: USERNAME__cr.ca;city.toronto. Write the name in lowercase, without spaces or hyphens: city.montreal, city.vancouver, city.calgary, city.ottawa.

Canada spans six time zones, so take the profile time zone from the city of the IP, not "from the country":

  • America/St_Johns for St. John's in Newfoundland, whose offset differs from its neighbours by half an hour;
  • America/Halifax for Halifax and the Atlantic provinces;
  • America/Toronto for Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal;
  • America/Winnipeg for Winnipeg;
  • America/Regina for Regina and Saskatoon, because Saskatchewan does not switch to daylight saving time;
  • America/Edmonton for Calgary and Edmonton;
  • America/Vancouver for Vancouver and Victoria.

Pick the zone name rather than a fixed offset, and the daylight saving change will be handled for you. The most popular choices are Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton and Winnipeg.

Which proxy type fits which Canadian task

The largest mobile carriers in Canada are Rogers, Bell and Telus. You can set a carrier by its ASN in advanced mode if you know it. Whether addresses of a specific carrier are available depends on the pool.

You buy traffic in gigabytes and it does not expire, but it counts in both directions: what you send and what you download. When scraping large catalogs such as Kijiji, turn off image loading if you do not need the pictures. This saves a noticeable number of gigabytes.

How to keep a Canadian account safe

Do not switch an account between Canada and the US, even though they are neighbours: for the service it is still a change of country. For accounts, use a sticky session on ports 10000–20000 with a session duration of up to 120 minutes. In the generator this is the "Sticky session" mode, while "Rotating (new IP per request)" on ports 823 and 824 is for scraping.

Before the first login, make sure the IP, time zone and browser language all point to the same city. There are setup guides for AdsPower, Dolphin Anty, Incogniton and other tools in the guides section. You can check your IP, country and WebRTC on the My IP page.

How to buy Canada proxies

To buy Canadian proxy servers, create a plan, choose “Canada” in the generator and pick HTTP or SOCKS5. Residential IPs in Canada cost $1.59 per GB, mobile $2.50 and datacenter $0.80; the price is the same for every country. Pay with crypto; the traffic you buy never expires.

Good to know for any country

  • The pool is shared: another customer may have used an address before. The anonymity filter in pool settings removes IPs that sites already flag as proxy or VPN.
  • The country is free. Traffic with precise geo (region, city, ZIP or ISP) is billed ×2: 1 GB of such traffic uses 2 GB of your plan, we add nothing.
  • Availability in a specific city changes during the day. If there are no free addresses, remove the city or pick a neighbouring one.
  • In a sticky session, the IP of a home or mobile device can change before the session expires — when the device goes offline.
  • The proxies carry TCP only: messenger calls and online games don't work. Some sites are closed to all customers — see the blocked sites page.

FAQ

Residential: 21,944, mobile: 267, datacenter: 15,035. The numbers are refreshed hourly from our IP pool.

There are 267 mobile addresses in Canada right now — for accounts, use a sticky-session port (10000–20000) per profile.

How much do Canada proxies cost?

The price does not depend on the country: residential $1.59 per GB, mobile $2.50, datacenter $0.80.

Can I choose a city in Canada?

Yes. In the generator's advanced mode you can set a city or an ISP. Traffic with precise geo is counted double.

Can I choose a carrier in Canada?

Yes, if you know the carrier's ASN you can set it in advanced mode. Whether that carrier's addresses are available right now depends on the pool, and ASN traffic counts ×2.

Can one Prokso account handle Canada and other countries?
