Mobile proxy

A mobile proxy is a proxy with a mobile carrier's IP address: the site sees a subscriber on mobile internet.

The address of a mobile proxy belongs to the network of a mobile carrier. What makes these networks special is that many subscribers share one address at the same time. This is how CGNAT works.

Because of this, websites and social networks are careful about restricting mobile addresses: hundreds of ordinary people would be affected along with one offender. That is why mobile proxies are most often used for social networks, mobile advertising and app testing.

There are fewer mobile addresses than residential ones, and they cost more. The carrier changes a subscriber's address from time to time, so you cannot hold one address for long.

In Prokso mobile proxies are paid for by the gigabyte; you can pick a carrier by its network number. See the mobile proxies page for details.

FAQ

Why are mobile proxies more expensive?

There are fewer mobile addresses, and mobile internet costs more than home internet. At the same time, social networks are the most tolerant of such addresses.

Can I choose a specific carrier?

Yes, by its network number (ASN) in the advanced mode of the generator. The availability of a carrier depends on the pool, and traffic with this selection is counted double.

Residential $1.59, mobile $2.50, datacenter $0.80 per GB
