Rotating proxy
A rotating proxy changes the IP address automatically: on every request or after a set time.
With rotation you connect to a single gateway address, and the exit IP changes by itself. The website sees each new request as a request from a different visitor.
This is needed for data collection: the load is spread across many addresses, and none of them hits the rate limit.
Rotation on every request does not suit work with an account: a site becomes wary if one user shows up from a new place every second. A sticky session is used there.
In Prokso port 823 (HTTP) or 824 (SOCKS5) gives a new address on every request. See the rotating proxies page for details.
FAQ
How often does the address change?
In rotation mode, on every request. If you need one address for a while, use a sticky session: from 1 to 120 minutes.
Do I need to change the proxy in my program myself?
No. The connection string stays the same, and the gateway changes the exit address.
