Proxy pool

A proxy pool is a set of IP addresses from which the service gives out an address for your request.

The size of a pool is the number of addresses available right now. It changes all the time: home and mobile devices go online and offline, so the number of “IPs online” varies through the day.

A pool can be shared or dedicated. In a shared pool the same address goes to different customers at different times. In a dedicated pool an address is assigned to one customer for the paid period.

The more precisely you set the parameters (country, city, ISP), the fewer addresses match them. If no free address fits your conditions, the proxy returns an error; widen your selection.

In Prokso the pool in pay-per-traffic plans is shared. The number of addresses online in each country is shown on the locations page.
