City targeting
City targeting is choosing a proxy not only by country but also by a specific exit city.

A city is needed when the result depends on location: local search results, prices and delivery in online stores, classified ads. A country is not enough for this: a site may show different things in the capital and in a small town.
The narrower the selection, the fewer addresses match it. Large cities have enough addresses, small ones may have none at all, and then the proxy will return an error.
Keep in mind that the city is determined by geolocation databases, and different websites may see the same address in neighboring cities.
In Prokso the city, region and ZIP are set in the advanced mode of the generator. Traffic with precise geo is counted double; we add nothing on top. Choosing a country is free.
How to set a city in the username
The city is added to the username after the country: LOGIN__cr.de;city.berlin. The name is written in Latin letters, lowercase, as in the dashboard generator, and the city must belong to the country you set. Region and ZIP are chosen in the advanced mode of the same generator.
You can add the ISP network number to the city: LOGIN__cr.de;city.berlin;asn.3320. Each such filter narrows the choice, so turn it on only when the result really depends on the ISP.
City targeting with rotating and sticky IPs
On ports 823 and 824 every request gets a new address, but within the chosen city. On ports 10000-20000 a port holds one address in that city for 1 to 120 minutes. If the device goes offline earlier, the port gets a new IP from the same country, and the city may already be different.
The number of available addresses in a city changes during the day. At night a small town has fewer devices online, and the proxy returns an error more often. For night-time tasks, large cities or a whole region are more reliable.
How to check the city and estimate the cost
After connecting, open the My IP page: the city there is approximate, but the country and the ISP should match the username. Do the final check on the target site, because its database may show a neighboring city, as explained in the IP geolocation article.
Traffic with a city is counted double: 500 MB of pages is deducted from the balance as 1 GB. So collect only the pages with truly local results with a city, and the rest with the country alone. The price per 1 GB for each type is on the pricing page.

Why does the proxy not respond with a city selected?
Most likely there are no free addresses in that city right now. Choose a nearby large city or keep only the country.
